Margaret Hicks - Great West Life
Disability Insurance Cancelled without legal grounds
 (Update February 12, 2006)

I am a vehement critic of many aspects of insurance company practices in Canada. In particular, AIG Life of Canada and Canada Life (operated by Great West Life) for the way they treated and continue to treat my wife Margaret.

We have in the past, received requests for assistance from people wanting advice who could not afford a lawyer. Many, were in our position and had read Margaret's story on the Internet.  For that, we take great pride and satisfaction in knowing we have helped others in the past and we will continue to do so.

Considering the possible abuses and the lack of proper safeguards to protect vulnerable people against corrupt insurance company practices, this should not surprise you. The law states that insurance companies must act in Good Faith.  We have many examples that prove, they do not always do so. No one is above the law.

Margaret's story, is what got me started with the Illuminati Scoreboard. Considering the sacred nature of life, it is neither arbitrary or unreasonable to fight for your rights.

When Scoreboard was dedicated to sports, I posted Margaret's story on our site to expose the corrupt practices of AIG Life of Canada.  I never dreamed it would lead me on a journey to expose the evil in the world.

When Margaret was employed by AIG Life of Canada she developed Lichen Planus (a severe skin disease) and was on heavy medication when she refused to work overtime without getting paid.  Her story is about how AIG Life of Canada's President, Peter McCarthy conspired with others to oppress, threaten and intimidate, an ill employee, forcing her to quit her job.

It all started when Margaret's supervisor claimed AIG were losing money because of the 9-11 tragedy. (click here for Margaret Hicks' story) and told her, she had to work overtime without getting paid to get her job done.

AIG (American International Group of Companies) boasts assets of over 800 billion and they do have a history of fraudulent acts at the higher levels of the company.  They are ranked by the FBIC website in the top 10 hall of shame for payment of claims.  Looking back, I wonder how many other employees were ripped off?

In Margaret's case they used bad faith and fraudulent acts to force her to quit her job, seek psychiatric care, welfare and battle almost 8 months to get approval for short and long-term disability benefits.

In addition to AIG's employment and bad faith insurance practices, their actions forced Scoreboard Canada Inc. to go out of business.  They made false claims of defamation by their lawyers to Scoreboard's sponsors and advertisers.  AIG's actions of filing a statement of defamation against me and Scoreboard Canada Inc., scared away my potential partners and legal help. I lost a major sponsor for Scoreboard valued at over $2.5 million dollars.

As a family we suffered greatly by AIG and Canada Life's actions and are still suffering financially. By law we have six years to file a claim and when Margaret's health improves and I get the money for the lawyer, we will file a statement-of-claim against all parties for more than $3.5 million in damages.

Back in 2002, I did everything I could for Margaret (because she needed me) and I would not give in to their intimidating tactics over principal, not greed. Now, here we go again.

In January 2006, Great West Life sent Margaret a letter that they we closing her file, which means no more deposits for long-term disability benefits.

I paused when I read the letter they sent her. And I contemplated.  The longer I considered it, the more confused I became. I looked at Margaret who was reeling.  Within a period of hours, her emotional condition had declined to a state of morose withdrawal.  Words have not evolved that could portray her pitiful condition.

Margaret is simply "not fit to work, period."  Great West Life never even gave Margaret a chance to supply the necessary information to validate her claim from her own psychiatrist and other doctors.  Which, according to the policy was the basis for Margaret's claim being approved and their reports were suffice during the 3 year period, to keep the cheques coming in.

Maybe in their company appointed doctor's opinion she is capable of working part-time and if she was, according to the policy, Margaret would not be eligible for benefits.  However, their doctor is not a qualified psychiatrist in the first place.  I believe because of the mental health condition of Margaret that only she knows if and when she can return to work. She is still under the care of a psychiatrist and on medication.  In addition she has to attend the hospital two or three times per week for her chronic Lichen Planus condition.  And Great West Life have been made aware of this information.

It appears they simply went on the word of a company appointed rehab specialists (who told Margaret, Great West were paying him $160.00 per hour) that Margaret volunteered to see, in hopes of helping her recovery.

It is not because the health-care system doesn't provide to distressed patients the necessary care and assistance, they do. However, Margaret's story is about how two Insurance Companies AIG Life of Canada and Great West Insurance used over 50 fraudulent acts (we have the real evidence) against Margaret going back to 2002.  Now, it appears to me, Great West Life are using the same tactics again to cancel her file.

Perhaps, Great West Life were legally right in canceling Margaret's file.  But, I don't think so. Their tactics appear to me, to be high-handed, oppressive, malicious, and criminal in nature and most certainly not in Good Faith.  When I asked Great West for the medical evidence they used for the cancellation, they ignored the request.

This time, we are not going to be screwed around for 8 months, like Margaret was last time. I will take the strongest legal action to get justice for Margaret.

If we ever again, have to go on welfare, because of insurance company practices, I can assure you, I will do what ever I can to protect other people from the same fate Margaret and I went through.

Important Note:
The introduction to Margaret's story explains why I published it on the Internet.  Anyone who thinks I did it to try and extort money out of AIG are wrong.  I can assure you, we only want justice for us and others.  My friends, family and fellow truth revealing webmasters know that, you cannot be a selfish, self-centred individual to publish the Illuminati Scoreboard. With the nature of Scoreboard and the power of the Internet, I am always looking over my shoulder for the men in black or a move on Scoreboard's domain.
